Since we specifically chose Tillie's based on dietary restrictions, this did not instill confidence.
Initially there was nowhere to sit and when we finally did find a table, we had to get up several times throughout our meal so other diners could get out from their tables. Super cramped quarters. The people at the table next to ours asked us if we had forks to spare, but we only had enough for ourselves. Other people in the dining area appeared to be hunting around for silverware too.
Last night I had the pickle board which I would highly recommend if you like to try new things or like creative pickling. Lots of variety on the board, all very good. I also can't stop thinking about the turkey burger I had. So delicious. Love the atmosphere, friendly staff, delicious, local, healthy food options. And not so healthy but yummy desserts.
Very tasty, fresh cooked food in a cozy atmosphere. Too bad we didn't have time to stay for the musician that was setting up. Good food, good prices, good-sized portions, good atmosphere. Two thumbs up! Oh! My pasta was gluten free and very tasty! I'd definitely have the Fall Pasta again.

What more could you want than a mimosa with your locally sourced breakfast? The lunch menu is also amazing, and this is a great place for my fellow vegetarians to feel comfortable. Get the veggie burger! It's the best I've had in St Paul!
The food was fresh and for its quality well-priced. For that, two stars. For the rest of the experience—ugh. Will not return.

The hostess/cashier refused to make eye contact and offered vague answers to simple questions in a comically bored tone:
I was disappointed when we arrived that no one greeted us. We were told to grab a menu and order. Place was dirty. Nasty napkins. Old Silverware. For the prices you should upgrade the space and slap some fresh paint on the walls and sand the floors. Would make a world of difference. Will try again but not for dinner. Maybe grab a coffee some day.
