I feel like Herberger's Midway has a smaller Juniors section than other Herberger's stores but I still love coming here. I appreciate that the employees don't continuously approach me but are nearby if I should need them.
a whole bunch of check out desks...no employees to run them. Waited 20 minutes to be checked out to only leave with nothing.
I don't usually shop at Herbergers except for sales, but at Christmas time, I want to make sure to find presents that won't be returned.
Cashiers are rude & are untrained. Barely speak English
Big store, not alot of open check outs . TONS of yellow dot items so always good selection of items. Store is ALWAYS a mess.
I was racially profiled. I was just in Herbergers 12/19/17 at 4:00 pm. I was with my mother, and we were shopping for perfume. We were still looking around but we had also came for a t shirt. I simply ask one of the older white ladies working if the men’s department was upstairs. She said to me , “you can’t take that upstairs. You have to buy it down here.” Ignoring my question and Referring to the box of perfume i was holding. Meanwhile my mother & i were not finished downstairs, i was only wondering. I personally believe i was racial profiled by this women. I set the perfume down so my mother and i could go upstairs to get the t shirt we can for. We come back downstairs to buy the perfume. At that time i walk past the lady, she proceeds to ask if i was ready to buy it. I told her no. She then said “you can’t take that.” As i wasn’t even thinking of that. I was looking for more perfume. She followed me to the register was where my mom was already checking out but claimed she was going to work. I literally was in a screaming match with the woman over me carrying the perfume around the perfume section. Not once did i leave that section or even look suspicious! I will never go back and if you’re black i wouldn’t recommend going.
Pricey but à great store and great sales. Whenever I go to Herbergers I feel a little classy. Everything is cleanly and meticulously laid out in classic tradition of the big department store. The high ceilings and other beautiful touches make you feel special shopping there.
